I've tried re-installing everything but doing that only led me to the same end result. (192.168.38.100 is my IPv4) It looks like my manual configuration was not done right, though I entered everything exactly as ipconfig/all showed me about my network. Pinging any IP address returns sequences of "From 192.168.38.100 - Destination Host Unreachable". Now the connection is still not established.

I then got the "Device Not Managed" error but fixed it (I think) by altering the nf file: managed=false to managed=true and running a #"service network-manager restart" line. I've configured the network manually just to get through the installation process (IPv4, subnet mask, gateway etc.).

This last one left me clueless for the past 2 days as I am not so familiar with networking.ĭuring the early phase of install configuration it says that the DHCP auto-configuration has failed even though I do have DHCP enabled on my network. I've encountered some problems installing Kali Linux on VMware.
